Foothills municipalities may soon some relief from their growing pains.
The provincial government is trying to develop a "Land Use Framework" for Alberta, and Okotoks council recently agreed with a report on those growing pains.
Okotoks Mayor Bill McAlpine says it was an important step since it could affect the town's thinking down the road.
But he warns with everything going on right now, all the reports and information should be looked at holistically before any reasonable decisions can be made.
McAlpine adds the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association report addresses issues like water, environment, sustainability and infrastructure.
