A local man in High River who passed away unexpectedly in March touched many people's hearts.

Known as 'Gunner' he lacked permanent housing however he didn't let that stop him from sharing kindness with strangers with many strangers returning the favour.

Many people got to know him around the southeast areas of High River with his kind eyes and warm smile somewhat hidden behind his bushy beard.

Some friends in the community shared their thoughts with a poster summing up their kind thoughts about him.

They also wanted to challenge others in his memory to remember to be kind and compassionate towards all members in our community, regardless of circumstances.
