Heartland will be back in High River this Thursday as season 16 filming continues.

It was originally scheduled for Wednesday but has been postponed by one day.

Location manager Brian Dunne says regardless, it's going to be a busy day.

"We've got a few scenes to do at our Maggie's Diner, and we've also got some scenes in the Lions Club campground to do earlier that day."

Filming is planned for the George Lane Lions campground in the morning and then they'll head over to Maggie's Diner from noon to 4:30 p.m.

Dunne has been working with the series since the first season and says he loves shooting in High River.

"When we do film downtown, we definitely do draw a crowd, they're always very respectful and every time we have to prepare to film at the Maggie's site our set decorator crew actually has to clean the windows because everybody puts their faces up and peaks in," he added with a chuckle.

Heartland is the longest-running hourly drama in Canadian history.
