It's been a difficult time for High River businesses since the June flood.

The manager of Boston Pizza Jeff Siffledeen says he wanted the restaurant to be a beacon for residents after the water subsided and people were allowed back in,  "At first, unfortunately, just because of staffing levels we weren't able to offer what we normally do, but we did our best. We wanted that beacon of light of sense of normalcy and I think we did a pretty good job of that and we're still working on it."

He and his wife Suriya were recognized for all of their efforts and the efforts of the staff by the company's co-chairman Jim Treliving Sunday. Siffledeen says a lot of that goes to the staff, "The staff here directly at our location has been absolutely amazing, a lot of them were in the same boat as a lot of the other residents in town here with losing their homes, being displaced and being able to come into work and trying to provide that services to the other residents of High River was absolutely amazing and of course Boston Pizza themselves, anything that we needed, direction, support, they were always there so it's been kind of a rough road but I think we're coming to the end of it here so it's been an experience."
