The High River Chamber of Commerce is looking towards a bright future.

President Kevin Generoux says High River is one of the bigger centres that's right on the highway between Calgary and Lethbridge and it has a lot to offer and they want to take advantage of that.

"We have a lot of attractions that people aren't aware of even attracting people to want to live in High River how great it is with our pathway system that's been created, our downtown is becoming more vibrant and businesses that are opening up in the surrounding area, we want to drive business and people into our businesses in High River, that's our goal as a chamber" Generoux says.

He says the chamber is working on a Shop Local website which they're fine tuning at this point.

They have a new administrator, Lisa, who's been reaching out for membership renewals and providing COVID rapid test kits.

Generoux says they've been advocating for the local chamber through the Alberta Chamber of Commerce and watching to see what's going to happen with COVID protocols so they can communicate with business owners on next steps.
