The Okotoks Bisons hung on for a 4-3 win over the High River Flyers Friday night at the Murray arena.

They're record is now at 18-and-1.

Daniel Tainton scored his fifth goal of the season to open the scoring for the Bisons just over one minute into the first period.

The Flyers did respond at the 8:46 mark to even it up but the Bisons pocketed a power play goal before the end of the first to head into the intermission with a 2-1 lead.

The Herd scored two quick goals in the second to take a 4-1 lead before the Flyers answered the call with two of their own to cut the lead to 4-3.

That would be the final score of the game as there was no scoring in the third period.

Flyers netminder Kaiden Fulton stood on his head for the Flyers in the contest stopping 55 of 59 shots.

The Flyers now play in Strathmore Saturday night at 8 with the Bisons heading up to Sylvan Lake on Sunday for a 2:45 p.m. puck drop.
