The Town of High River has moved to water conservation level 3 effective immediately.

Now you'll only be able to water your lawn once a week.

Even though we're getting rain this week the Town needs to conserve water.

Starting today, Monday Aug. 21, the Town is implementing the new water saving measures which will remain in effect for the remainder of the summer.

This means you will be limited in watering your lawn once a week depending on where you live in High River.

And it also means you can only water between the hours of 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 pm.

  • Monday: Southwest residents
  • Tuesday: Southeast residents
  • Wednesday: Northwest & Northeast residents

Some of the other restrictions also include filling a swimming pool or other water recreational facilities and further permits for additional lawn watering will not be issued.

However, hand-watering of trees, shrubs, flowers and vegetable gardens are still allowed.
