A 42-year-old High River woman escaped injury about 9:00 Friday morning when was involved in a single vehicle collision near Cochrane.

Her 2004 Chevrolet Aveo went through the intersection at George Fox Trail, heading north onto Highway 22, when it left the road and went  through a barbed wire fence, struck a sign and came to a stop on the bike path below.  

The vehicle narrowly missed entering the Bow river.

The driver and lone occupant, managed to get out of the vehicle, which had landed on its side.

She was treated at the scene by EMS and transported to hospital for further observation.

Police have concluded their investigation, and have charged the driver.

Alcohol and road conditions are not considered factors in the crash.
