It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and sister, Elizabeth Hofer. She left to be with her heavenly Father on August 20, 2019.

Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband George Hofer, her parents, her brother Mike Hofer, sister-in-law Barb Hofer and brother-in-law Jacob Hofer. Elizabeth leaves behind, with fond memories, 9 children: Martin (Miriam), Marie, George (Martha), Christina (John), Daniel (Margaret), Andy (Mathilda), Toby, Larry and Joshua (Leah). She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, two brothers and four sisters: George (Rachel), Paul (Barbara) Annie, Rachel, Susie (Jacob), Sarah (Fred) and sister-in-law Rosa. Additionally, Elizabeth leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and many more to mourn for her.

Elizabeth was a happy and friendly person, always willing to mingle with everybody and share a smile. She was always busy, often knitting, helping in the kitchen and sharing her wisdom. Each day she began her morning with the song “Mein Gott! nun ist es wieder Morgen”. Elizabeth made a huge contribution to her colony, serving 18 years in the kindergarten and 6 years assisting her husband the German school teacher. She was loved by all, and her memory will live on in the hearts of the people that she leaves behind.
