(This jolly ol' soul came to visit us Christmas Eve)
A time for giving, caring and sharing for 2017 has past, time to pack them up , send them home and not see
them till Christmas 2018. I hope that is not what is going to happen at your home, although I guess that some
have that pattern. I hope You and your family spend many days in the new year sharing and caring as it were
the holidays. We missed some of our crew this year but our girls and most friends and family spent Christmas
Eve this year eating my (not to brag but I will anyway) turkey and ham with all of the wife's tasty trimmings to
boot. Tracy makes Nephla (a turkey home made noodle soup made famous by her Grandma and now Aunt Sherry)
on Boxing Day which was outstanding along with fresh buns from Sobey's. She also put together a split pea soup
that went over well with me and my Son in Law too. For days we struggled trying to put a bathroom door on and
before my Son In Law left that task was mastered along with a new door handle for my office which I have been
meaning to do the last several months. Thank You Arlen. The Grand Children each received a Nintendo DS2 from
Grandma and I and they seemed to go over fairly well. Yesterday I was able to watch an entire Season of Fargo (the one
released in 2015 and filmed mostly around High River and area). FARGO is always violent but yet a touch of comedy
is laid in to all of the Seasons to make you feel more comfortable with the silly violence. 2015 ended with a big shoot out
that was filmed at a downtown High River Motel in the 2nd last episode and is one of my fav's.
I hope you enjoyed your Christmas and wish you a safe and happy rest of the holidays.
