The Little Britches Rodeo kicks off on Victoria Day Monday with the annual parade.

Lynette McCracken with the High River Chamber of Commerce says after last year's equine herpes outbreak the horses are back again this year.

"Yes, the horses are back this year starting with rodeo royalty who will all be on horseback this year. Lot's of wagons. Lot's of entries this year. Well over 80 entries."

McCracken says they'll start blocking off the streets of the parade route around 7am.

"If you are coming downtown there is parking available in the town parking lot. There's parking available between 3rd, 4th and 5th Avenues. Just please do not park on MacLeod Trail or 1st Street West.

McCracken says there's never a bad seat.

"Anywhere along the parade route is good viewing because the bands do stop and perform. I think everyone will be amazingly surprised how what a small committee can do by putting this on for the community."

The parade will travel down MacLeod Trail, around the post office and back down 1st Street West to 9th Avenue.

Up past the hospital and finally disbanding on 7th Street and 12th Avenue.
