The Province is shelling out $50-million to modernize and improve health care facilities.

The Rural Health Facilities Revitalization Fund will support upgrades and renovation projects across Alberta, including at a pair of local centres.

$4.7-million is going to the High River Hospital to renovate the medical device reprocessing area and $1.2-million will go to the pharmacy at the hospital.

The Claresholm General Hospital is in line for $1.6-million to add to the ambulance garage.

Another $10-million is being set aside to demolish decommissioned health facilities in Claresholm, Edson and potentially some other sites.
