The high school football season kicks off Thursday, August 29 with the Holy Trinity Academy Knights playing host to the Catholic Central Cougars out of Lethbridge.

Knights Coach Matt Hassett says the players are excited to get back to work, particularly after falling short in last year's Provincial finals.

"I think after last year these guys got a taste for it and being a younger team, they've got a little bit of unfinished business."

Hassett, says they don't concentrate too much on their opponent, but on what they need to do to win.

"You know what? It's about us. We're going to work hard every day and get better. And when it comes down to it it doesn't matter who the opponent is. It's about what we do and how we execute."

Game time is 7 o'clock, under the lights at HTA in Okotoks.
