November is National Family Violence Prevention month.

Ally Cramm with the Rowan House Society says there are a couple of ways to show your support.

"We have our Purple Heart proclamation, so we have a fillable poster so you can say why you wear purple and then put a purple heart in the window of your business or your home, and then we have a Go Purple Day November 16, Wednesday and we just want everyone to wear purple whether it's a shirt, a hat, dye your hair, shoelaces, ribbons whatever, just wear your purple and share your pictures with us on social media using the hashtag #gopurpleab and then tag us on Instagram or Facebook," she says.

Cramm says it shows you're standing behind those who are affected by family violence.

The month got off to a great start with the Breakfast with the Guys with Dr. Jackson Katz which was well received by all who attended.
