Halloween is barely around the corner and the Foothills are already thinking ahead to the holiday season.

For its ninth year, the Sheep River Health Trust is bringing back its popular and much-loved "Photos with Santa."

The novelty is already selling fast says Andrea Mitchell, Executive Director of the Trust.

"We have had it open for the last few weeks for our returning customers, so we are about 50 per cent sold out. People were phoning in August so it's a really exciting time."

Last year more than 790 families visited Santa’s village raising over $27,000 for the Sheep River Health Trust.

If you want to get on the nice list, Mitchell recommends that residents act fast and start thinking about the photos.

"You can wear Christmas outfits, Santa suits, whatever it looks like. We have lots of fancy dressers, we have lots of matching plaid. During that time our photographer takes all the photos. So as your kids go up the hug, the fist pump, all those special moments as they're whispering their list into Santa's ears.

"Family photos, kid's photos, if grandma comes, you get all those photos together."

Registration opened to the public Saturday, October 15. To register and to find more details just head to their website.

Sponsorship opportunities are available.
