Jason Glass jumps into 2nd at Grande Prairie Stompede

The track conditions at the Grande Prairie Stompede were excellent again on Friday night.

It led to the first-place finish of Grande Prairie's own Chance Vigen with a sizzling 1:16.78 in Heat 10.

High River's Jason Glass was nipping on his heels ripping his wagon across the finish line in a time of 1:17.64 which now moves him into 2nd place in the aggregate.

Glass has an excellent shot of making the final four and chasing the Championship title tomorrow.

De Winton's Dayton Sutherland had a fast heat last night too ending up tying for 9th on the night and Jordie Fike rolled through in 22nd.

It was the third night of racing with tonight deciding who moves onto the final four in Sunday's Championship final.

And the top wagon in the aggregate after tonight will also claim the Ralph Vigen Memorial Award and a new GMC Truck for one year courtesy of Summit Fleet.

The winner of the Championship will also take home a sizable paycheque.
