I've asked for another weekend of gorgeous weather, so fingers crossed because there's lots of FUN stuff happening in the Foothills this weekend!

It's Canadian Country Weekend in Fort Macleod!  I'm going to be hanging out there on Friday, so come say hi!  This is an event country music lovers are not going to want to miss!  What makes Canadian Country Weekend so unique is the incredible assembly of Canadian Country Music talent.  They've also got everything from hay rides to horseback riding to nearby camping.

On Saturday, I'll be celebrating the town of Claresholm at Fair Days.  Watch for me in the parade at 11:00am and if you see me, smile and wave.  Afterwards, you can head down downtown at Amundsen Park for fun family activities.  There's also going to be a slowpitch tournament, beef on a bun, dance and a pancake breakfast.  The junior rodeo starts at 9:00am at the Claresholm Agriplex.  There are 74 contestants...the youngest is 3 years old (that's so cute!).  Events you can expect to see include barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, untying, team roping, break away roping, steer daubing, steer riding, and muttin' busting.  And it's FREE!  The FUN day will conclude with a movie in the park.

And on Sunday, head to the Bar U for the Old Time Ranch Rodeo, which starts at 1:00pm.  This rodeo competition will demonstrate traditional ranching skills that are still used today.  Events include broke horse racing, team sorting, branding and doctoring, and wild cow milking (I'm most excited for this event...do you think they'll let me participate?).

See you out there!
