Today was the Sunshine Patrol's first day out!  I spent it visiting High River's Big Red Barn, which is also the High River Visitor Information Centre.  The sun was shining...it was absolutely gorgeous out!  Unfortunately, I was not wearing enough sun screen and burnt my hands.  But it was all worth it!  I got a lovely tour of Sheppard Family Park, which included a visit to the Maccoy house and a peep into the Little Bow School House.  I learnt that the Big Red Barn is actually the Munroe Barn and was built near Milo in 1913 and moved to Sheppard Park in 2005.  There's so much history right here in High River!

The High River Visitor Information Centre is now open for the summer season.  You can visit it daily from 9:00am - 6:00pm.  Please note the centre does close from 12:00 - 1:00pm for lunch.

Tomorrow I'll be checking out the Bar U Ranch opening from 9:00 - 2:00...come join me!
