There was so much to do in the Foothills today!  I started off the morning by heading to the Silver Slate Arena (just North of Stavely) to watch the All Girls Rodeo hosted by the Canadian Girls Rodeo Association.  It was fast paced and exciting!  I was only able to stay for half of the day, but I got to see pole bending (an event I'd never seen before!) and barrel racing.  The other events included team roping, tiedown roping, goat tying, steer undecorating and breakaway roping.  The rodeo is also on tomorrow (Sunday, June 19th)...go check it out and support the ladies!

I spent the afternoon in Nanton where there was lots to do.  The Farmers Market had lots of yummy looking baked goods, produce and preserves.  There were also lots of hand made crafts.  Today was also the Nanton Garage and Sidewalk Sale.  I checked out some of the garage sales...there were so many unique treasures!  From old fishing rods to chinaware and  bathtubs!  The day finished off with a celebration of the Nanton Playground Build's 1st Anniversary.

What a busy day!  I'm exhausted!

See you tomorrow at the Arrowwood Rodeo!
