A Kids Kamp with a difference is planned for this Sunday in High River.
Glenda Cutforth explains it's being put on by the River City Classics and Eamon's Garage Historical Society and Hagerty Insurance.
"One of the children that has registered, his dad owns a cool 1972 Cutlass. We're looking for more children, we have some but we'd like about eight more," she says.
"Hagerty (Insurance) has designed a program to teach children about classic vehicles so they have an appreciation of classic vehicles, which is great for us that are owners so if we ever sell our cars they're worth more because these kids will know then and want to have pleasure from them as well."
The young people will learn about the classic vehicles on hand and with a scorecard at the ready they'll evaluate a group of cars and trucks based on a variety of categories while conversing with the vehicle's proud owners.
Scores will be tallied and at the end of the camp, they'll introduce the winners at a closing ceremony.
Collector vehicles are being provided by members of the River City Classics, Eamon's Garage Historical Society.
The Kids Kamp goes Sunday, August 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for kids between seven and 14 years of age.
