Research says Canadian families are spending 30 cents of each food dollar dining out.

The Beef information center has found many establishments don't include beef on the children's menu and Rosana Perry says a new publication has come up with some creative ideas for 7 to 12 year olds.
"We believe that beef can deliver and also be a profitable opportunity for the restaurant operators", she says, "as well as offering children and families menu items of better choice, healthier options and better quality food"

Perry says restaurants can fill a niche with beef and more beef on the menu creates more demand.
