There's a kindness day celebration today, Wednesday Oct. 26, and the High River-United Way partnership has some 'kind' deals for you.

Committee member Glenda Cutforth says they've teamed up with a couple of local restaurants offering a kind deal today.

"We're going to be at Hitchin' Post and Domino's Pizza and a portion of their sales goes towards United Way partnership High River."

All monies raised stay in High River and the funds will go towards helping other non-profit groups in High River.

Cutforth says all the money stays in High River and thanks to the town they don't have any administration costs.

"Every dollar earned stays in High River, there is no administration costs, the Town of High River does that act of kindness for us at zero cost."

In 2022, the United Way/High River Partnership invested $7,500 in supports for families, $8000 in support for children and youth, and $32,000 in food security initiatives.
