The member of parliament for Macleod is happy with how the last session of parliament went.
Ted Menzies says they were able to get a lot accomplished. He's especially pleased that after some hiccups the budget was passed.
He says the Senate's passing of the budget means that spending on many different things important to Canadians is able to go through and won't have to wait until the fall.
He says Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan, the two most vocal opponents of the equalization formula, have received huge increases and have nothing to complain about.
He is frustrated that the Senate is holding up crime bills, including one that would raise the age of consent from 14 to 16.
