The Foothills School Division expects to have six video conference stations working in the next few weeks.
Director of Learning Technologies James Aitchison says kids can connect with people from anywhere.
"If we had a speech pathologist that we'd like to contact and work with our students, we can do those types of things," he said.  "We can also do things outside our district and outside Alberta.  Right now there is about to start a videoconferencing program with kids from Afghanistan talking about their experiences there."
Aitchison says Big Rock and Oilfields schools will get their own stations and other schools will share mobile ones.
