The issue of Councillors not showing up for their committee meetings was a hot topic at the last meeting of Black Diamond Town Council.

The issue was committe meeting minutes coming in late, and councillors or their alternates not attending the required meetings and whether or not they should be paid their 50 dollar fee per meeting. All this prompted a furious debate over the number of committee's each councillor sits on. Councillor, Dean Anderson, who sits on 6 committee's says he'd like to see a more even spread of councillors over the various committee's.

"Well, what I would like to see is to have everyone has the same work load, so it's fair in the way that we do things and from what staff has shown us tonight it's pretty even keel there."

Mayor, Rolly Magee, says the notion of redistributing council committee meetings could be a possibility.
