The province is looking to pick up the tab for another joint water study between the towns of Black Diamond and Turner Valley along with the village of Longview. It's just one in a long line of water studies being funded by the province right now as they look to have towns in the Foothills regionalize their water and water treatment facilities. Black Diamond Councillor Sharlene Brown says the province is offering to pay 100 percent of the upgrades and expansion of water treatment facilities as well. But she's taking a wait and see approach. She says the province will pay off for towns working co-operatively. But she says experience has tiught her to take funding promises with a grain of salt. Another study going on right now is also looking at the Diamond Valley area sharing their water and treatment facilities with High River and the MD as well.
