MyCityCare Okotoks’ Stuff the Bus campaign is back again.

The organization is collecting donations of school supplies for families who ended them going into the back-to-school season.

Katie Burrell with MyCityCare Okotoks says there are a few times that are always in high demand.

"The thing we're finding we're low on this year are pencils, binders, and dividers. Those sort of things go a long way when donating because they go really quickly."

The campaign makes a very tangible impact on local families, says Burrell.

"Last year we had 356 kids that we helped and this year we expect that to rise even more. We are just about at last year's mark, but not quite there yet."

They’re looking to have everything ready just in time for the return to class.

"We're looking to have all the supplies by August 25. As well, we'll keep registration open, so if you know any families that need assistance, we'll keep registration open right until the end of the month."

Donations can be dropped off at Foothills Cleaners, Built Strong, Loop Kids Consignment, or the MyCityCare office at 106 Southbank Road.

Monetary donations can also be made at Okotoks Staples.
