Hockey fans around the Foothills are excited to see what the Okotoks Oilers will do for an encore this season.

They lost in five game to Spruce Grove in the league finals this past Spring, but the team's President of Business and Hockey Operations, Brad Robson, says it's a new season and they want to take it all the way this year.

"Everybody's ready, we're champing at the bit. We're excited for the training camp to get down to our final roster and then get into the exhibition games. You want to get out of the gate and have a really good start."

The Oilers open their training camp Friday, August 23, and play their first pre-season game Friday, August 31, when The Brooks Bandits come to town.
