The Okotoks Oilers took to the ice Friday night, battling the Lloydminster Bobcats.

Unfortunately, they didn't get the result they and their fans were hoping for.

Trey Degraaf, forward for the Oilers, was able to score half-way through the second period to tie the game at 1-1.

However, the Bobcats quickly responded to take the lead and they took the scoring from there. They took a 5-1 win over the Oilers.

The one goal for the Oilers earned Degraaf star of the game.

The Oilers are on the road this weekend, first taking on the Sherwood Park Crusaders tonight, then the Drayton Valley Thunder on Sunday.
