Oilers make long trip north. The Okotoks Oilers kick off their second season tonight as they make their way to Fort MacMurray in AJHL action.  Oilers coach, Gary Vanhereweghe says it's a tough test to start the season.
He says the Oil Barons are always a tough team and they've got a lot of returning forwards and they're going to be a tremendously tough team again this year.
He says it's good for his team to get the long road trip out of the way early.
The Oilers continue their road trip in Bonnyville against the Pontiacs Saturday night.
