The Okotoks Dawgs are advancing to the WCBL West Division finals.

They swept the Brooks Bombers with two straight wins in the best-of-three series.

Game one on Monday night saw a decisive 14-6 victory for Okotoks, due in no small part to Ricky Sanchez, whose outstanding night included going 5 for 6, landing two triples, and hitting for the cycle (hitting a single, a double, a triple, and a home run.)

Their second, qualifying win came last night with a 14-2 win.

Sanchez was on point once again, going 4-5 with two RBI and two runs, and McCoy Pearce going 3-4 with two RBI and three runs.

They'll be facing the Sylvan Lake Gulls, whose back-to-back wins against the Fort McMurray Giants punched their ticket to the Western final.

Game one is scheduled for Friday, August 12 at 7:05, with Okotoks to host.

The Eastern finals will see the Medicine Hat Mavericks faceoff against the Moose Jaw Miller Express, with game one also set for Friday.
