The Okotoks Dawgs are going for another Western Canada Baseball League championship.

The Dawgs swept the Sylvan Lake Gulls two-games-to-none on Friday and Saturday night to capture the WCBL West Conference title.

The first game on Friday night in Okotoks at Seaman's stadium saw the Dawgs blank the Gulls 4-0.

And then on Saturday night the Dawgs came from behind, trailing 3-2 heading into the 9th inning they rallied for two runs for a 4-3 final.

The Dawgs now move on to tackle the Moose Jaw Miller Express for the WCBL Championship.

With the Dawgs finishing the regular season with an astounding record of 43-13 they have homefield advantage.

Game one is Tuesday August 16 at 7:05 p.m. at Seaman's stadium with game two in Moose Jaw on Wednesday and if a game three is needed it's back in Okotoks on Thursday night.
