This year’s McHappy Day has brought in thousands and thousands of dollars from Calgary and Foothills restaurants.  

The annual event took place on May 8th and nationwide brought in a record-breaking $8.9 million. 

The McDonald’s restaurants in High River, Okotoks, and Calgary collected $26,521.73 for Ronald McDonald House Charities, surpassing last year’s total. 

In addition, Shaw Restaurants, which owns the local McDonald’s donated $2,570 to the High River Food Bank while the Okotoks Food Bank received just over $6,500 last month.
