The Okotoks Trade and Lifestyle show is making its return Friday, May 6, and Saturday, May 7.

Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Dawn LeMaistre says there aren't any pandemic-style restrictions but safety was still top of mind.

"The show's a little different this year, we're coming out of a pandemic, we've had to be pretty conscience of people's staffing concerns and issues and still some concerns with respect to COVID, but we're super excited, the venue is restriction-free so no masking, no issue with presenting QR codes or vaccination or anything like that, we've been conscience with the spacing in the show just to make sure everybody's comfortable while they're there but we're certainly not mandating a six-foot distance," LaMaistre says. "We're hoping everybody's going to come, have fun, hug each other and say cheer and have a great time and just support our fabulous local community."

There are over 200 vendors to check out at the two-day event with some of the standard bearers along with some new activities.

"We have two very cool Instagram booths that we've put in, one in each of the venues, I the Murray and the Piper and I believe the Market Square girls are doing something funky over in the Artisan Market as well, but we're encouraging everybody to come out, bring mom, get a selfie for Mother's Day and help us promote shopping local and the reason why we're all here in Okotoks and all these wonderful businesses here" she says.

The event goes at the Murray and Piper arenas, Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
