Seaman Stadium hosted its first-ever Teddy Bear Toss tonight but saw the Dawgs fall by just a single run to the Brooks Bombers.

In back-to-back games, the Dawgs have lost by a 2-1 margin to both the Gulls and Bombers. While scoring hasn't come easy in the past two games, offence has been strong for the Dawgs for most of the season.

Greg Ross started on the mound pitching a full five innings. Ross would get three strikeouts while he was up to pitch. Chase Tucker, Cade Herrmann, Easton Corey, and Ashton Luera came in as relievers.

Corey would get two strikeouts in the eighth inning and wouldn't allow a run which has him at a 0.00 ERA on the season. He has played in seven innings so far during the 2024 WCBL season.

Luera came on the mound at the top of the ninth and punched out three Bomber batters to give the Dawgs a chance at the bottom of the ninth.

The Dawgs opened the scoring in the bottom of the second with Jarrett Burney getting across home plate with help from Jason Arriola.

The Bombers responded at the top of the fourth with a run of their own and tied the game up at 1-1.

After the bottom of the fifth, it was time for the Dawgs' first-ever Teddy Bear Toss. Fans threw the stuffed animals on the field for a fun moment between their supporters and the team. The Dawgs would pick the plushies up from the field, jump into the huge pile, and then gather around for a group photo.

The game would resume at the top of the sixth with the Bombers scoring their second run of the game and the eventual game-winner.

Okotoks finished with 10 hits on the night and the Bombers finished with seven.

The Dawgs will travel to Brooks for their afternoon match-up against the Bombers tomorrow, first pitch is scheduled for 2:05.
