The Calgary Police Service (CPS) is still trying to track down a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder.

Gerald Russell Frommelt (37) is wanted in connection to the murder of 23-year-old Jamie Lynn Scheible.

Scheible, a graduate of Foothills Composite in Okotoks, was shot on April 7, and later succumbed to her injuries in hospital.

The warrant was issued on April 12.

CPS believes Frommelt is still in the Calgary area, and has reason to believe someone is helping him evade the police.

Anyone found to be assisting him could be held criminally liable.

Frommelt is described as 6'2'' tall, weighing approximately 250 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.

He also has multiple tattoos on his neck, including a tattoo of a straightedge razor.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Calgary Police at (403) 266-1234
