UPDATE at 2:07 p.m.

A 26-year-old male from Okotoks has died as a result of the collision.

Fort Macleod RCMP were called at 7:34 a.m. with a report of a serious motor vehicle collision.

When the RCMP arrived, they found one of the drivers of the two-vehicle collision was deceased.

Three other inviduals, including a 5-year-old were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers remain on the scene as the investigation continues.

Heavy fog was reported in the area.




Fort Macleod RCMP are on the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 3.

The collision happened 9 kilometres west of Fort Macleod on Sunday Jan. 15 and as of 8:30 a.m. westbound traffic is blocked.

Officers anticipate they will be on scene for several hours as the investigation into the cause continues.
