Edmonton's Kelsey Rocque is off to a good start at the Alberta Scotties Tournament of Hearts with a couple of wins on the opening day.

She says it's too early to worry about standings just yet.

"Honestly we're just taking this whole tournament one game at a time and trying to just make one shot at a time and I think we'll just keep that mind set moving forward."

She says her and her team got a handle on the ice pretty quick.

"We're figuring out the ice, learning with every game, so I think that's a plus. So we're just going to go into tomorrow (Thursday) with the same mind set as today and hopefully make a few more shots."

Rocque faces another 2-and-0 team in St. Albert's Krysta Hilker in the 1 o'clock draw Thursday, January 23, and then takes on the Saville Centre's Laura Walker in the evening draw starting at 6:30 p.m.
