March 14, 1947 – November 9, 2016

Stan died suddenly Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in Black Diamond, Alberta. Stan is lovingly remembered by wife, Lorna; son, Steve (Jen) Rose; daughter, Danielle (Greg) Moore; five grandchildren, Dakota, Tristan, Bailey, Mattreya, and Liam; Also remembered by two sisters, Marlene Killam, Diane (Murray) Murphy, and four Rose brothers, Cliff (Heidi), Walter (Karen), Ernie (Pat), and Tom (Cliff); sisters-in-law, Dorene (Jim) Jenkins, Linda Hills (Dave Skimmings), and Janet (Gary) Graham; Gunderson brothers-in-law, David (Judith), Gary, and Rick (Bonnie); innumerable nieces and nephews, neighbours and friends.

He was predeceased by father, Ernest Rose and mother Olive Pruden Rose; brothers-in-law, Keith Hills and Bob Killam.

Raised in Sturgis, Saskatchewan, Stan enjoyed a dedicated and passionate career protecting others, first as a proud member of the RCMP in BC and Alberta, and then as a Safety Officer working for various corporations throughout the province. He will be fondly remembered for the fun he had while hunting, for the way he eagerly helped those he loved, and for the way he sincerely loved and appreciated everyone he came across in life.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Calgary-based PCC Prostrate Cancer Centre - online at www.pccncalgary.org .
