This year's Hope and Healing Gala in support of Rowan House Women's Shelter in High River was again a major success.

They raised over $100,000!

With so many ways to participate in all the fun it's easy to see why the event is always such a major hit.

There was amazing silent auction items, a chance to win a package called build your own vacation (there were major squeals of joy for this winner!), the live auction this year was $21,000 on it's own and is always exciting to watch!

Included in the live auction was the guitar that local artist, Tanya Ryan, donated.

The guitar was originally won by Ryan in the Rising Star Competition held in Calgary each year. She brought it with her to last year's CCMA's as one of the participants in the Discovery Program and had many artists and musicians sign including Emerson Drive, Deric Ruttan and many more. You can see the whole listing here!

The guitar went for $1500 alone which made Ms. Ryan very happy!

Ryan and her band were also the evening's entertainment and had everyone on the dance floor!

This year's speaker was Anthony Parker of the Calgary Stampeders.
