Foothills school division officials are reiterating their commitment to safety after rumours of an incident floated around Foothills Composite High School. Superintendent of the division Jim McLellan says in a release, ensuring the safety of students, staff and and parents is something they do everyday.
The rumours were circulated through student text messaging stemming from recent events in the U-S and the anniversary of the Columbine tragedy.
RCMP investigated and say the rumours were unsubstantiated and unfounded.
They did take precautionary steps to ensure safety.
