Safeway has provided a big boost for the Foothills Country Hospice Society. They've turned over a cheque for 14-thousand dollars from their "We Care" program.
Belinda Duff is a big supporter of the project.
She got involved after being with her ailing mother in England for three days at a hospice.
When she returned she decided to donate her time to the local hospice.
Carol Close with the hospice society says the donation will help put appliances in the facility's new kitchen.
The money was raised through books sales, bar-b-ques and other events at the Okotoks store.
