The Salvation Army is hoping you'll remember them when considering where your donations go during the holiday season.

Those bright red kettles are back in stores around the Foothills and ministry lead John Ardnt says the kettles are really their only public plea for donations.

"It not only just funds us at Christmas time but it funds us throughout the whole year and in order to make these funds we need people to be standing at the kettles because if no one's there the bubble isn't there and we have many shifts open from now until Christmas eve."

Last year's goal was $110,000 and they brought in $118,296

Kettles are located at a number of grocery stores in High River and Okotoks.
