The Foothills School Division and its drivers have come to a new agreement.

Assistant Superintendent Drew Chipman says it came together smoothly.

"It's great working with that association, they do great work. It wasn't a long or acrimonious negotiation, so we were able to put a memorandum together pretty quick and get that approved so we're excited about moving forward," he says.

The division is still looking for bus drivers though.

They're especially in need of spare drivers.

"We are continuing to advertise, spare drivers have been a bit of a pinch point," he says, When we have full routes to get somebody, that provides them with sufficient income they're easier to fill but we're always down on the number of substitute drivers, so we are looking for those for sure."
