It looks like winter is just around the corner.

Natalie Hasell with Environment and Climate Change Canada said snow is coming this weekend.

"Yes, it does look like quite likely, more so for the higher elevation areas but we see a low-pressure system travelling across the north but along with it a frontal structure that will sweep across Alberta and the prairies.

This front is expected sometime on Sunday, so we'll see temperatures get quite cool, so we'll be in the right temperature range. The chance of rain showers or flurries. The possibility of flurries or some kind of snow does look possible."

Highs are only expected to hit 4°Celcius on Monday and zero on Tuesday.
