Thanks to the Bloc Quebecois it looks like the federal tory's will last a while longer in Ottawa.

The BQ has pledged their support to passing the conservatives softwood lumber deal when parliament resumes next week. 

Local MP, Ted Menzies, says it's time to get the deal done.

"It's time to settle this dispute, get our legislation in place immediately when the house resume on September 18th.  Let's get the deal settled and let's get on with it."

Menzies says he's happy to see a light at the end of the tunnel adding he knows lawyers who've made their entire careers out of the softwood lumber issue.
