It's Election Day in Alberta and there still seems to be some confusion about when all the votes will be counted.

Here's the breakdown.

Votes cast Tuesday, April 16 will be counted after the polls close at 8 o'clock Tuesday night.

Advance votes that were cast in the ridings where the voter lives, will be counted Tuesday night.

That leaves roughly 223,000 votes from the advance polls from people who voted outside of their ridings to be counted, and that starts at noon Wednesday, April 17, in Edmonton.

That means we will find out who will form government by late Tuesday night.

To cast your ballot, you're best bet is to look at your voter card, which has been mailed to you.

Or you can go to the Elections Alberta website, which will tell you where your polling station is based on your postal code and address.

Tune in to 99.7 Sun Country starting at 8 o'clock Tuesday night for all your local and provincial results.
