Southern Alberta got a little bit of everything on Thursday.

The day started out with bright sunshine but by about 3:00 in the afternoon the clouds moved in, the sky got black and we got a bit of rain.

However, that quickly transformed into sleet and then snow, and it remains on the ground in many parts of the region.

At the same time, we heard thunder and even got some lightning strikes.

According to Environment Canada, we're in for a similar day today although Saturday is looking sunny with a high near 16.
