Another call will go out for someone to run the concession at High River's Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex.

Mayor Craig Snodgrass says council's decided to put out another Request For Proposals (RFP) to run it.

He says they looked at the Town taking it over again but when it was shut down in 2016 it was a loss to the Town of about $56,000 a year.

"I know everybody wants that concession to be there when they want it but I'll tell you right now it's an extremely hard business to run."

"But there are entities out there that have business models that they run in other communities in other rec centres so it has to be a unique group to come in and to be able to make a go of it."

A town report says administration attempted to work with the previous concessionaire to extend their agreement but the operator declined.
