While Taber corn is still as popular as ever this summer, the same can't be said for their water.

The Town of Taber is reporting a water issue where residents have noticed a strange smell, taste, and even colour in their water.

According to the Town, it still meets Alberta Environments' strict standards for drinking water.

It's attributed to the heat we've been experiencing which is causing natural elements to seep into the groundwater.

The water is still treated as usual, though hints of a musty odour and taste persist.

Cooling the water down can make it a little more palatable, according to the Town.

They say nothing can be done while the temperature remains as hot as it's been.
